by Jo Black

IJV 2008 will be a new and dynamic marketplace for smart suppliers that sell, market, or promote innovative products and services across all platforms to new buyers from Vietnam and the other 9 ASEAN member countries with over 500 million population, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

Launched on November 21, 2007, IJV 2008 has met with an overwhelming response from the industry suppliers. In just 10 days since the launch, 48% booth space has reserved by 52 applicants from 14 countries (only 180 booths are available at the first edition IJV).

Vietnam – a brand new market for international jewelers There is no other place in the world has such vast, untapped potential in luxury goods and towards the elimination of import duties on all products to achieve the eventual objective of a ASEAN free trade area by the year 2010.

Recognising the wealth of business opportunities present in Vietnam’s rapidly developing and largely unpenetrated luxury products sector, IJV 2008 is the brand new event developed specifically for Vietnam and the neighbouring regions.

Taking place from 2-4 May 2008, at HCMC Exhibition & Convention Centre, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. IJV 2008 will cater for retailers, department store buyers and private collectors, and cover all aspects of the jewelry market, including the tools, displays and packaging sectors.

The event will combine organiser’s 18 years of experience in the jewelry trade and industry, and its knowledge of the Vietnamese market to provide an event that will cater for the needs of jewelry buyers throughout the South East Asian region.
