DFI appoints new CFO

Diamond Fields International Ltd. announces that Gooroodeo (Mahen) Sookun has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, succeeding Waldo Pienaar, who has resigned effective April 30, 2008, to pursue other business interests.

Mr. Sookun, a director of the Company since May 2007, is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, U.K., and holds an MBA (Finance) from the University of Leicester, U.K. Over the last fifteen years Mr. Sookun has been a Corporate Finance Executive in diverse sectors such as public utilities, agriculture, textiles, mining and real estate development in Mauritius, Mozambique and Sierra Leone. Previously Mr. Sookun was the Group Finance and Administrative Manager for Titanium Resources Group Limited, a company operating in Sierra Leone listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Diamond Fields would like to extend its appreciation to Mr. Pienaar for his excellent service and contribution to the Company over the past 2 years, and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
