IDI plans for JCK Las Vegas

The Israeli Diamond Industry plans a huge presence at the JCK Show – Las Vegas May 30 — June 3, 2008, with 62 Israeli companies participating. The major US trade show for the diamond and jewelry industry, this is one of the most important events for The Israeli Diamond Industry. The United States accounts for over 50% of Israel’s total polished diamond exports, reaching $3.7 billion out of a total of $7.1 billion in 2007.

The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies will once again be hosting an Israel Diamond Pavilion at the show, located at Level One on International Drive, with 38 Israeli manufacturers and exporters exhibiting.

IDI Group Chairman Moti Ganz said that the Israeli Diamond Industry is sparing no efforts in preparing for this year’s show. The Israeli exhibitors are bringing excellent collections, and I’m sure that our pavilion will attract a great deal of attention.

Ganz said that the economic situation is spurring Israeli diamond companies to work even harder to meet the changing needs of the U.S. market. The Israeli industry is known for its flexibility and adaptability. These traits have always brought excellent results, and we are that certain they will continue to do so. We’re looking forward to a good show, he said.

IDI Group Managing Director Eli Avidar said that IDI is redoubling its marketing efforts in the U.S., at the same time as it is developing new markets in China and India. “The U.S. is our major market, and we have extremely close ties there. In 2008 we hope to expand these ties and develop new ones. Our office in New York, IDI – USA, will be working hard on new segments of the market — especially outside the major cities. We are also enhancing our web presence, upgrading our industry portal into aB2B marketplace for the exchange of business contacts that lead to actual transactions, he said.

The IDI Group of Companies will be represented at stand 50118 within the Israel Diamond Pavilion and in its upper level Image booth at 5049, adjacent to Diamond Avenue.
